Mastering Physics: Advanced Throttle Control in Drive Mad
Published · 1 min read

Drive Mad might look like a simple driving arcade game on the surface, but its underlying physics engine mimics real vehicular weight distribution and axle torque. Press the accelerator to the floor from a standstill, and the sudden rotational torque flips your cab upside down instantly.
Feathering the Accelerator
The most important skill to cultivate is throttle feathering. Instead of holding down the W key or Up Arrow, rapidly tap it at 2-3 presses per second. This allows your tires to find grip on slick or angled surfaces without overloading the rear suspension.
Overcoming the See-Saw Obstacles
On levels featuring floating planks and balanced see-saws, drive forward just enough to tip the fulcrum past horizontal. Stop completely while the ramp settles into position, then apply smooth forward power to cross to the next landing platform.
